u00a0The Department of Radiation Oncology at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, is recruiting outstanding basic/translational science faculty at theu00a0Assistantu00a0Professor level (appointment stream).The Assistant Professor will be expected to develop an active research program focusing on basic and translational research in Thoracic Cancer. In this regard, you will be expected to be a member, work closely with other members of the Thoracic Cancer Disease Team, and develop collaborations with members of HCC research programs. You will be expected to writeu00a0short proposals about your research program, which will be used by the Center to seek funding from philanthropic and other sources, to help cover the Institute's financial commitments to you. You will be expected to participate in the teaching and training of medical students and radiation oncology residents. As our department grows, we will be redefining the clinical, teaching, and research roles to meet the growing patient population. Teaching responsibilities include bedside teaching and precepting of medical trainees, and delivering 1-2 didactic lectures per year.
