Your mission will be to: Position SummaryThe incumbent is responsible for sample entry, assignment of test codes,expedient release of sample to operations for analysis and laboratoryshipping. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Receive and log insample in preparation for analysis.Review sample and any attacheddocumentation to assign an identification number and enter informationinto Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).Preparedocumentation as necessary. Contact client, when necessary, to obtainand clarify missing or unclear information to ensure that identificationof client code, test code, and sample contents are accurate. Storesamples in appropriate manner until analysis is completed andappropriately dispose of extra samples.Ensure sample integrity ismaintained. Prepare packages for pick up by shipping vendors.Followappropriate procedures to send packages and maintain all relateddocumentation. Prepare samples to be shipped to other testingfacilities when plete appropriate documentation and fileaccordingly. May assist client service personnel with the developmentof customized client reports.Activitiesinclude:collection of data,analysis of data, and development of reports. May assist laboratorypersonnel with the preparation and analysis of samples. Supportcorporate quality and continuous improvement process. This positionhas the responsibilities and authority to identify departures from thequality system or test procedures and document such observations inaccordance with the prescribed complaint system. Perform other relatedduties as needed Communication The incumbent has regular contact withthe client to verify information or obtain missing information so thatanalysis procedures can begin.Regular contact with operations and clientservice personnel is necessary to locate client samples.
