The Conflict ofInterest (COI) Compliance Manager supports this compliance framework bymanaging the annual collection and review of approximately 15,000 onlinedisclosures of outside activities and financial interests fromresearchers and others. This position serves as a primary administratorfor the COI Committee review processes, ensuring timely and accurateassessment of significant financial interests that could impact thedesign, conduct, or reporting of federally funded research or researchinvolving human participants. The COI Compliance Manager collaboratesclosely with the COI Committee, campus administrators, and researchersto eliminate, minimize, or manage actual or potential financialconflicts of interest related to research. The COI Compliance Managerreports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Research Policy andIntegrity and will assist in developing, maintaining, and implementingCOI policies, procedures, and workflows, and coordinating and promotingresearch integrity among the university community.Key JobResponsibilities: Manage and support UW-Madison Conflict of Interestcommittees (COI and ICOI) Provides consultation for resolution of policyviolations that involve students, employees, visitors, guests of theinstitution and/or applicants Directs operational activities andstaffing resources for compliance implementation, including outreach,support, and/or investigations Serves as a subject matter expert foraffiliated matters for internal and external stakeholders Oversees,develops and participates in activities designed to raise awareness ofthe law(s) and...
