17968BR Title: Plumber Department/Cost Center: 826 - Maintenance Job Description: Working under the direction of the Maintenance Department Manager, the hospital plumber performs maintenance, inspection, repair, and installation of plumbing systems. This role ensures 24/7 operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with safety standards (NFPA, Joint Commission, local & NYS building codes) to support critical patient care and facility operations. Key duties include fixing leaks; servicing plumbing piping systems, equipment and fixtures; managing high and low pressure steam piping systems outside of central plant, and responding to plumbing emergencies Salary Range: $28.25-$37.33 an hour _The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the jobu2019s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._ Auto req ID: 17968BR Job Requirements: 1. Education: High School or GED; trade school or equivalent military training as well as certification and/or license in specialty. 2. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience, with 2 years of healthcare experience preferred. 3. License/Certification Required: Certification and/or license in specialty; valid New York State driveru2019s license; City of Rochester Master Plumbers license (or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire). 4. Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and utilizing hand tools and testing devices. Basic experience with computer systems, Microsoft Office products, and Microsoft Outlook preferred.
