Job Title: Machinist Job Description This role involves operating large machining centers, such as Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL) and Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM), to produce quality machined components. You will review engineering prints, select appropriate tooling, and edit CNC programs to ensure precise and efficient operations. Responsibilities + Review engineering prints and select appropriate tooling. + Run large machining centers, either VTL or HBM. + Edit and maintain CNC programs. + Perform machine setup and operation as needed. + Implement continuous improvement initiatives. + Inspect and measure machined components. + Interpret blueprint/drawing specifications and GD&T. + Apply various inspection methods, including hand gauges and CMM. + Maintain and install tooling and manage tool offsets. Essential Skills + Proficiency with AutoCAD, Fanuc, Siemens, and G code programming. + Ability to operate large machining centers. + Experience with inspection methods and GD&T. + Three years of experience in large-scale CNC machining. + Experience with overhead crane operation and rigging. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Basic computer skills for email and web-based communications. + Proven ability to develop the machining skills of others. Why Work Here?
