Oncology Infusion PharmacistSt. Lukeu2019s Cancer Institute - Boise, IdahoFull-Time Onsite Clinical RoleOverviewSt. Lukeu2019s Cancer Institute in Boise, Idaho is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Oncology Infusion Pharmacist to join our growing oncology pharmacy team. This position provides clinical and operational pharmacy services within the oncology infusion setting, supporting safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use for cancer patients.This role is ideal for pharmacists seeking to enter oncology practice. No prior oncology experience is required u2014 comprehensive training and mentorship will be provided.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilitiesu2022 Review and verify chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care medication orders.u2022 Ensure safe and appropriate dosing based on protocol, diagnosis, laboratory values, and patient-specific factors.u2022 Collaborate with oncologists, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members.u2022 Provide drug information and patient counseling related to oncology therapies.u2022 Monitor for adverse drug reactions and contribute to supportive care management.u2022 Participate in clinical care discussions and treatment planning.Operational Responsibilitiesu2022 Verify sterile compounded preparations in accordance with USP and standards.u2022 Support safe handling and disposal of hazardous medications.u2022 Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements.u2022 Participate in workflow optimization and process improvement initiatives.u2022 Utilize EPIC/Willow and other pharmacy systems to support clinical documentation and medication safety.Quality & Professional Developmentu2022 Participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives.u2022 Contribute to departmental performance improvement efforts.u2022 Engage in ongoing education to build oncology knowledge and clinical expertise.u2022 Maintain competency in infusion pharmacy practice.u2022 Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsEducationu2022 Degree from an accredited pharmacy program.Experienceu2022 No prior oncology experience required.u2022 New graduates are encouraged to apply.u2022 Pharmacy residency or oncology exposure preferred but not required.Licensure & Certificationu2022 Valid Pharmacist License in the state of Idaho (or eligibility to obtain).u2022 Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification through: American Safety & Health Institute American Heart Association American Red CrossWhy Join St. Lukeu2019s Cancer Institute?u2022 Join Idahou2019s leading cancer care network.u2022 Receive structured oncology training and mentorship.u2022 Work alongside experienced oncology pharmacists and nationally recognized clinicians.u2022 Build specialized expertise in a high-impact clinical setting.u2022 Live in Boise, Idaho u2014 consistently ranked among the best places to live in the U.S. for outdoor lifestyle and quality of life.At St. Lukeu2019s, caring for people in the communities we serve is our mission - and this includes our own SLHS team.
