Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and optimize the operations of our client's accounts payable department in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role requires strong leadership skills to guide a team, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and maintain efficiency in payment processing. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing high-volume workflows and implementing process improvements to support organizational goals. Responsibilities: u2022 Direct and manage daily operations of the accounts payable team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines. u2022 Oversee invoice processing, purchase order matching, and vendor payment execution with accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Lead month-end and year-end AP close processes, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule. u2022 Conduct and review reconciliations of accounts payable subledgers and general ledger, resolving discrepancies promptly. u2022 Monitor and maintain accounts payable aging reports, providing detailed analysis to leadership as needed. u2022 Ensure compliance with tax regulations by managing annual 1099 processing and maintaining an accurate vendor master file. u2022 Collaborate with the Controller to implement best practices and enhance internal controls within the AP function. u2022 Drive automation initiatives and recommend process improvements to streamline accounts payable operations. u2022 Utilize AP tools such as to enhance efficiency and system utilization. u2022 Provide mentorship and opportunities for skill development for the accounts payable team. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. u2022 At least 5 years of experience managing an accounts payable department. u2022 Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and 1099 requirements. u2022 Familiarity with accounts payable automation tools such . u2022 Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in PivotTables and data analysis tools. u2022 Excellent organizational and leadership abilities to manage high-volume workflows.
