Job Description Weu2019re hiring a Senior Software Development Manager to lead multiple engineering teams building and operating highly available services and applications. In this role, you will shape technology strategy, grow engineering leaders, and drive execution across complex, cross-functional initiatives. Youu2019ll also play a pivotal role in accelerating responsible adoption of AI-based tools and practices to improve developer productivity and product quality while maintaining the rigor required for healthcare and enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities + Lead, develop and grow multiple software engineering teams and engineering managers. + Own delivery for a portfolio of services/products, including planning, estimation, prioritization, execution, and operational excellence. + Work with Product Management, UX, Architecture, Security, Partner teams and Operations to translate strategy into roadmaps and measurable outcomes. + Drive the adoption of AI-based tools and workflows across engineering to improve productivity, code quality, and cycle time. + Create enablement plans: training, internal champions, playbooks, and change management to scale adoption effectively. + Partner with Security, Privacy, Legal/Compliance, and Architecture to ensure that AI tool usage aligns with enterprise governance, data protection, and healthcare expectations. + Promote a culture of experimentation and learning while ensuring production-grade rigor and accountability. + Establish and track clear metrics for impact. + Uphold and contribute to engineering best practices across the organization. + Ensure high availability and resilience through strong SRE/DevOps practices, observability, incident response, and post-incident learning. + Balance near-term delivery with long-term platform health through disciplined technical debt management and modernization. Responsibilities Mandatory Qualifications + 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience building enterprise-grade products/services. + 5+ years of software engineering management experience, including leading engineering managers and multiple teams. + Proven track record delivering complex software initiatives across the full software development lifecycle. + Experience accelerating adoption of AI-assisted software development practices. + Familiarity with modern AI assisted IDEs and other AI-assisted software development tools. + Strong knowledge of modern engineering practices as applicable to cloud technologies and distributed systems. + Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functionally and communicate effectively with executives, product leaders, and technical teams. + Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Preferred Qualifications + Experience with building Gen-AI based systems for enterprise-grade products. + Familiarity with modern Gen-AI development paradigms and tools such as AI agent frameworks, MCP servers and A2A protocols. + Experience in healthcare, regulated environments, or mission-critical systems; familiarity with privacy/security expectations (e.g., HIPAA concepts) is a plus. + Experience modernizing legacy systems and leading cloud migration or large-scale platform transformation. + Background in owning and operating distributed services in a cloud-native environment. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range in USD from: $118,300 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
