What We Offer Novant Health Sleep Medicine - Ballantyne is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant The role of the Certified Medical Assistant is to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population. What You'll Do Job responsibilities include: + Patient Rooming: Efficiently prepare exam rooms and escort patients for timely appointments. + Inbox Management: Manage electronic in-baskets, including sending messages to providers and patients, processing prescription refills, and responding promptly to inquiries. + Order Reviews: Verify and process provider orders to maintain accuracy and compliance. + Collaborative Support: Work closely with clinical staff to ensure smooth operations and deliver exceptional patient care in a high-volume, fast-moving environment. What We're Looking For + Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: u2022 CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) u2022 CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) u2022 RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) u2022 American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) u2022 National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) u2022 National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) u2022 American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement, required. + Experience : Previous work in a medical office, preferred. + Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required. Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096. + Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
