FTE: 0.001000 Standard Hours: 0.01 Shift: Shift 1 Shift Details:varies for coverage; 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday Holidays: N/AWeekends: N/A Job Summary: This position is to cover multiple sites forleaves, etc. Performs comprehensive audiologic assessments, includingototoxic monitoring. Recognizes and implements strategies fornon-organic hearing loss and appropriate referrals for additionalnon-behavioral assessment if needed. Cerumen management commiserate withexperience and knowledge. Evaluates, selects, fits/dispenses hearingassistive technology, including hearing aids, assistive listeningdevices and accessories. Hearing aid services to include hearing aidevaluation, hearing aid fitting/dispensing, follow up and ongoing care.Makes recommendations and offer a variety of styles, technologies andmanufacturers as well as appropriate accessories and assistive listeningdevices. Provides coverage for the walk-in clinic. Adheres toappropriate billing practices. Recognizes need and makes appropriatereferrals for complex audiological cases for management (eg.implantable, advances assistive listening devices, work accommodations,tinnitus management, vestibular assessments, otol ogic, etc). Maintainsappropriate documentation in medical record. Participates in departmentactivities including teaching, program development, monthly meetings andstudent supervision. Involvement in other committees or groups withinthe organization or in the community. Other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: One year of experience required. One year ofexperience as a student may be considered. One year experience in anAudiology clinical setting performing specialized assessments ispreferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Master's Degree in Audiology.Doctorate Degree in Audiology (Aud-D) is preferred. LICENSUREDESCRIPTION: Valid State of Wisconsin Audiologist license or temporarylicense is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Supportfor the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent isrequired within three months of hire.
