Remote Python Data Engineers (Entitlements)

Job Description We are hiring Python engineers to support a high-urgency data migration program as part of a recent acquisition. This role is focused on data transformation jobsu2014extracting flat data from Snowflake, transforming it into nested JSON, and persisting it into DB2 (often as CLOBs) for downstream Java ingestion. This is a Linux, bare-metal, backend-only environment. You will build transformation jobs largely from scratch and operate with minimal supervision under tight delivery milestones. The contract will be short-term through the end of October or sooner. It can sit remotely working EST or CST. Responsibilities: -u2003Develop and support Python (3.12.11) ETL/transformation jobs running on Linux -u2003Extract flat datasets from Snowflake and transform them into nested JSON objects -u2003Insert transformed payloads into DB2 (including writing to CLOB columns where required) -u2003Write and execute DB2 SQL (queries, inserts, validations) -u2003Implement file mapping/entity mapping logic (e.g., company, user, access-right structures) -u2003Validate transformations, handle data exceptions, and support batch-style processing -u2003Collaborate with backend Java teams consuming DB2 outputs into entitlement services/tables We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
