Mechanical Assembler (Weekend Shift Only) Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor, manufactures and supports shoulder-fired systems; energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, medium & large caliber ammunitions, mortar ammunition; and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aero-structures. How you will be rewarded as a Mechanical Assembler u2022 Friday, Saturday, and Sunday weekend shift working four 12-hour days with a half-hour unpaid lunch and paid breaks. u2022 Along with the base wage pay, there will be an additional hourly shift difference pay for working the weekend shift. u2022 Generous paid time off and Holiday Pay. Scheduled off work on Monday-Thursday each week. u2022 Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance u2022 401(K), employee assistance programs, flexible spending account Primary Responsibilities of a Mechanical Assembler This is for our (Weekend Shift Only) - 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Note: Employees hired for the weekend shift will start working Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM for two to four weeks for the initial training before being transferred to the weekend shift. u2022 Places parts in specific relationship to each other with extreme accuracy u2022 Operates and tends automatic and manual processing equipment u2022 Uses a variety of hand and power tools, jigs and fixtures u2022 Works at different workstations as production needs require u2022 Performs general daily housekeeping and cleaning of equipment and area to ensure a safe working condition for all employees u2022 Performs general maintenance of equipment as required u2022 Ability to recognize and report all operational variances as trained Experience Required to be a Mechanical Assembler u2022 High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required u2022 Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and packaging preferred u2022 Ability to obtain/maintain BATF approval to work with our products Required Skills as a Mechanical Assembler u2022 Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals u2022 Ability to be at work on time and on a consistent basis u2022 Excellent team interaction and communication is a priority for this role u2022 Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently u2022 Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including the movement of materials weighing 5-50 lbs u2022 Ability to obtain BATF approval to engage in certain explosive operations Note: Due to US Export Control laws and regulations; applicants selected for employment must show proof of a U.S. Person status before employment may begin.
