Construction Laborer

Elderlee, Inc. is currently hiring full time seasonal highway construction laborers for the 2023 (and beyond) construction season. Duties for this position include, but not limited to: Working outdoors in all types of weather conditions Loading and unloading materials on trucks and safely transporting to/from job site Working alongside and at the direction of others to complete quality installations Handling materials that weigh in excess of 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day Successful candidates MUST possess the following: Be motivated and have a positive attitude Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening Availability to travel overnight 100% (Monday Friday) from April 1 to December 24 Ability to handle materials in excess of 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day Ability to obtain a Commercial Drivers License (in-house training available) Ability to work in a fast paced, team driven environment Willingness to learn and take direction Availability to work overtime and some weekends Willingness to join a union Preferred skills and experience that are not required: Experience in highway construction industry CDL Class A or B drivers license Some working construction knowledge i.e. read and use a tape measure, operate hand and small power toolsPay: Union scale prevailing wage starting at $30.24 per hour PLUS benefits Benefits: Union benefits including Pension, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, and Vision Insurance Paid holidays and sick time Paid overnight expenses Travel to/from job provided from Elderlee facility in Oaks Corners (Geneva), NY Schedule: Monday Friday Some Saturdays Some night work Elderlee, Inc. is a family-owned company specializing in the manufacture and installation of highway safety products primarily in New York State since 1946.
