Incoming APP will be involved with our congenital heart surgery practice as part of a highly-specialized team in the inpatient and outpatient settings. This encompasses the following:Consultative support, including reviewing test results and/or providing second opinionsShared decision-making through joint case conferences of surgeons, cardiologists and other specialists to determine the optimal site of careIntegrated care management, including virtual care management and surgical planningOur relationship with Cincinnati Children’s strengthens our existing heart program at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital. This relationship enhances our Mission of sustaining and improving the health of those we serve by ensuring our youngest patients receive the level of care they need, when and where they need it.Responsibilities:Participate in the care and medical decision making for preoperative and postoperative patients at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent Indianapolis and the Children's Heart Center.Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds in the cardiac care unit. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.Education:Master's degree of Nursing required.Additional Preferences No additional preferences
