Your recruiter will provide the most up-to-date details during the hiring process.Responsibilities Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent is looking for an Advanced Practice Provider (Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Neonatal trained Physician Assistant or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner) to join our team in our level 4 NICU.This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Peyton Manning Children's Hospital to provide medical services to patients.Position Highlights:Qualifications:Masters or Doctorate degree requiredMust be Neonatal Nurse practitioner, Physician Assistant or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner w/ NICU residency board Certified/Eligible and must have Indiana License or must be eligiblePreferred Qualifications:Prefer at least 1 year of clinical experience in a level 3 or 4 NICU as an NNP or PABenefits:24/7 inpatient schedule (combination of 12 and 24 hour shifts, days/nights, self-scheduled)24/7 Neonatologist coverage with APP coverageNewborn and sick neonate care of a large variety - surgical, cardiac and neurosurgical services in addition to small baby program for infant 22-27 weeks gestationWork in a brand new state of the art building with 109 private room NICU beds (coming Dec 2024)Responsibilities:Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination of the NICU patient.Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies.Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.Procedures include - intubation, umbilical lines, PICC lines, lumbar puncture, thoracentesis/chest tube placement, circumcisionsAttendance of high risk deliveries including stabilization and management of complex critical needs of the newbornTeam member of the St. Vincent critical care transport team (ground only) directing the stabilization, management and transport of neonates throughout the state.Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at Ascension St Vincent has an incredible opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dedicated inpatient Neonatology team at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, IN. Join a collegial team of 17 Neonatologist and 30+ APPs (Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants).About Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at Ascension St. Vincent is part of Indiana’s largest not-for-profit health system with 22 ministries and over 3000 physicians.
