The Jacobs business model allows us to successfully service our clients, leverage our integrated services, and provide our employees with growth opportunities while delivering global solutions to our client’s local programs.Our land surveying team is experiencing exciting growth within our established practice therefore we have a need for a Survey Instrument Operator - Field Technician to assist our party chiefs in the field on several of our projects in the North Texas region. Principal duties and responsibilities will be assisting the Party Chief in completing different types of survey work assignments.Performs established procedures under limited supervision in the form of collecting data with the following: GPS receivers as a base and rover via RTK, using any VRS network, and / or including the use of robotic instrumentsAbility to adapt and learn quickly to multiple field line codesPerform basic boundary and topographical survey functionsUnderstand basic field calculations and proceduresProgress to calculating angles and distancesDownloads and uploads data collector files everyday under the Party Chief’s directionKeeps survey vehicles clean and organized and in proper working orderPrepare field daily and mileage reports, data logs, and field work ordersWorks directly with multiple Party Chief’s to absorb and broaden survey experienceDesire to grow within the company to potentially become a Party Chief Here's what you'll need High school diploma or GED equivalencyComputer literate in Windows, Microsoft Office Word, Outlook and ExcelAbility to operate, adjust, and maintain assigned equipment, i.e., GPS receivers, digital levels, robotic instruments, and various other survey equipmentWilling to travel to multiple office locations, project locations, and travel for out-of-town work as neededValid driver’s licenseIdeally, you'll also have:Comprehensive knowledge and experience of surveying workExperience using Trimble equipment and software products Posted Salary Range: Minimum 44,000.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper 77,600.00 Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. The base salary range for this position is $44,000.00 to $77,600.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked.
