Employment Type:Full timeShift:Rotating ShiftDescription:Come join our Pharmacy team at Saint Mary's Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England!Position PurposeFollowing prescribed procedures, assists in processing physician prescriptions to ensure medications are promptly, accurately, and safely filled. Prepares various medications and assists supervising pharmacist. Assists with patient questions and service. Maintains records related to drug use and charges.What you will doUtilize pharmacy computer system and be responsible for inputting, retrieving and analyzing data in that systemPrepare prescriptions under the supervision of registered pharmacistPrepare and prioritize prescriptions according to needProper cash handling and cash control as well as completing day-to-day retail transactions in a friendly and efficient mannerTrack inventory and assist with ordering on a daily basisMinimum QualificationsMinimum high school diploma or equivalentCurrent state (CT) registration as a Pharmacy Technician is requiredPrevious experience strongly preferredNational PTCB certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferredPosition Highlights and BenefitsFull time 32hr rotating shifts-- shift and weekend differentials applyGreat benefits and Health Insurance Coverage-- Starting day one!Ministry/Facility InformationSaint Mary’s Hospital is a Catholic, not-for-profit, community teaching hospital that has been serving patients inWaterbury, CTand our surrounding communities since 1909.
