DescriptionPosition: Application ProcessorPay: $21.00 per hourSchedule: Mon- Fri 8am - 5pmJob Description:We are currently looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Application Processor to join our Driver Recruitment team. In this role, you will be responsible for qualifying Commercial Driver's License (CDL) drivers during the recruitment cycle, ensuring that we maintain a talented and compliant workforce. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of USDOT and FMCSA rules and regulations for driver qualification and will be committed to processing applications as quickly and efficiently as possible.This role will work efficiently with the Recruiting Team, focused on always improving the time to qualify and driver facing experience, but will also partner with safety to ensure all risk items are identified and fully investigated to mitigate as much qualification risk as possible.Core Responsibilities & Duties:Responsiblefor screening applications for informationpertaining toFMCSA-DOT and Forward Air qualification standards, to includeemployment verifications, Motor Vehicle Reports, DAC, & Criminal Background ChecksReview and process CDL driver applications in a timely and efficient manner to support the recruitment cycle.Ensure all applications are complete and compliant with USDOT and FMCSA rules and regulations for driver qualification.Verify driver qualifications, including background checks, drug screenings, and driving records,in accordance withcompany policy and regulatory requirements. This requires the ability toself regulatewhen a file is complete and when a bit more research couldprovidea more risk mitigated qualificationCommunicate with applicants to gatheradditionalinformation, clarify discrepancies, andprovideupdates on the status of their applications.Maintainaccurateand up-to-date records of applicant information in our applicant tracking systemProvidesupport to the recruitment team by generating reports and analyzing data related to the driver qualification processKeep abreast of changes in USDOT and FMCSA regulations and ensure ongoing compliance with these requirementsAssistwith other recruitment-related tasks as needed.Ensure Driver files areaccurate, completed, and processedin a timely mannerwithin ATS.Ensure all required tagging and contextualized fields are complete within the ATS ahead of EDI transfer to avoid issuesTransfer incoming calls andassistdrivers when they come into the office as necessaryDocument all items of significance appropriately within the Driver fileMayprovidetraining and assign files as directed by leaderMaintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner whichfacilitatesthe success of business operationsin order tomeet company demands and expectationsMaintains current knowledge of Department of Transportation rules and regulationsRecommends new methods, processes and/or systems which when implemented wouldfacilitateor improve performance in area of responsibilityAbility to be self-sufficient and work independently, under management directionAbility to handle highly confidential information with sensitivity, tact and discretionrequiredOther duties as assignedQualifications:Working knowledge of DOTregulatory requirements as it relatesto the transportation industryMust be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlinesMust be personable, professional and have a positive attitude and demeanorAdaptable to working in a dynamic and changing environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plusAt least 2 years of experience in a role focused on processing applications, driver qualification, or a related fieldExcellent attention to detail and strong organizational skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environmentTeam player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethicDemonstrated ability to carry out assignmentsto their completion andmeet various variable deadlinesAbility toestablishand maintain effective working relationships with employees and managersDesire for a long-term career with an industry leading companyAbility to present andmaintaina positive corporate image in a fast-paced environmentProactivelyestablishand maintain effective working team relationships with all support departmentsMust be proficient with Microsoft Office productsincluding Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etcSkills:The ideal candidate willpossessa “can do” attitude with a “will do” work ethicMust have the ability to work in a fast-pacedenvironmentProficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and OutlookStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with AS400 operating systems is a plusTransportation industry knowledge and experience is a plusPrior experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), specificallyTenstreetis a plusForward Air is an Equal Opportunity employer.#L1-TW1#LI-OnsiteSince 1990, Forward Air has been a leading provider of ground transportation and related logistics services to the North American air freight and expedited LTL market.
