Job Description

We are looking for a Vehicle Access System Expert with extensive, hands-on experience in end-to-end system design and integration. This role demands a deep understanding of the architecture, security, and performance of advanced vehicle access technologies, including keyless entry, passive entry/passive start (PEPS), immobilizers, smart keys, and digital access solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mastery of system-level engineering, ensuring robust security, seamless user experience, and compliance with global automotive standards.Key Responsibilities: System Architecture & Design: Lead the definition and development of complete system architecture for vehicle access solutions, including keyless entry, PEPS, and immobilizer systems. Establish core design specifications and system-level documentation for all access components. Ensure secure, reliable communication between vehicle ECUs and access devices using RF, NFC, Bluetooth, and UWB technologies. Hardware & Software Integration: Drive cross-functional integration of hardware and software components into vehicle platforms. Oversee system-level validation under diverse environmental and operational conditions. Security & Compliance: Implement advanced cryptographic techniques for secure authentication and anti-theft protection. Ensure compliance with global automotive security standards and OEM requirements. Testing & Validation: Conduct functional, durability, and cybersecurity testing for access systems. Perform RF performance analysis and optimize antenna placement for reliable operation. Innovation & Research: Explore emerging technologies such as smartphone-based access, digital keys, and biometric authentication. Drive continuous improvement in system robustness and user experience. Technical Expertise: Electronics & Hardware: Strong knowledge of RF electronics, antenna design, and signal integrity for keyless systems. Experience with low-power hardware design for portable access devices (key fobs, smart cards). Communication Protocols: Expertise in CAN, LIN, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), NFC, and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technologies. Cybersecurity: Familiarity with encryption algorithms, secure key management, and authentication protocols. Understanding of ISO/SAE 21434 and related automotive cybersecurity standards. System Validation Tools: Proficiency in RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers) and diagnostic tools. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, or related field. A minimum of 10 years in automotive electronics development, with a focus on access and security systems. Proven track record in RF design and secure communication systems. Expertise in CAN, LIN, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), NFC, and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technologies Vector CAN tools (CANalyzer or CANoe) related to CAN/CAN-FD vehicle bus networking protocols Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent collaboration and communication abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field. Experience at Tier-1 level developing and launching Access systems. Knowledge of digital key ecosystems and smartphone integration. Familiarity with functional safety and cybersecurity frameworks.
