We work closely with out inpatient department as well, there is opportunity to float to other settings as needed or requested. Required QualificationsBachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited programActive California Physical Therapy License (in good standing)Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certificationCompliance with all California and federal PT regulatory requirementsPreferred Experience1+ year experience in acute care, swing bed/skilled nursing, or outpatient settingsStrong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skillsAbility to manage diverse patient populations and diagnosesProficiency with computers and EMR systemsStrong problem-solving abilities and high attention to detailCommitment to ongoing professional developmentEvaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans by applying diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests.Treats injuries, manage chronic conditions, prevent future problems, improve physical function and educate patients to maximize and/or maintain their maximum level of independence. Records and reports to the physician the patient’s reaction to treatment and/or any changes in the patient’s condition as required/needed. Educates patients and their families in the use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.) and other necessary therapeutic equipment/devices.
