Registered NurseMed/SurgGrundy County Memorial HospitalPart-Time; Weekend Package; Saturday & Sunday 7:00a - 7:00pThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the direct and indirect provision of professional nursing care for the patients in the Med Surg department. The RN is accountable for ongoing evaluation and documentation of all components of care delivered to patients, including coordination and direct supervision of the patient care team.At UnityPoint Health, you matter. And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience.Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.Provide professional nursing care within RN scope of practice in accordance with hospital policies and standardsSupport patient care needs across inpatient units, Emergency Department, and Outpatient Infusion services as assignedAssess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition using critical thinking and clinical judgmentAdminister medications, treatments, and nurse-collected labs as ordered and document care accurately in the electronic health recordCollaborate with providers, care teams, patients, and families to develop and update individualized plans of careEnsure a safe, clean, and compliant care environment, adhering to infection prevention, safety, and quality standardsCoordinate patient flow and bed placement in collaboration with clinical leadershipServe as a resource and mentor to support staff, including participation in orientation and oversight of delegated careParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and complete unit-specific operational responsibilitiesMinimum RequirementsGraduate of an accredited nursing program.RN current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa.Must possess and maintain current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and Dependent Adult and Child AbuseMandatory Reporter certification as outlined per policy.
