Production Shift Lead

This person will lead the Second Shift, 3PM-11PM.Supervisory Responsibilities:· Hands-on and directly supervises 5 employees within various departments.· Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.· Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work;General Duties and Responsibilities:· You are a hands-on driver of your team· Becomes familiar with all product lines.· Expedites orders.· Inspects equipment and products.· Trains employees.· Enforces shop and safety rules.· Coordinates with engineering on product specifications.· Verifies daily completions and relieves bottlenecks.· Solves problems regarding technical questions.· Communicates with purchasing department on shortages, usages or demands of inventory levels.· Monitors and/or implements changes or adjustments to assembly lines to ensure more efficient workflow.· Directs scheduling of new orders.· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.Qualifications:· High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.· Computer skills required:o Timecard Software; Inventory Software; Microsoft Office Suite· Other skills required:o At least 10 years of experience in a job-shop environment.o Technically competent, quick study, and excellent people skills.Physical Demands and Work Environment:Frequently required to standFrequently required to walkOccasionally required to sitFrequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterityOccasionally required to bend, stoop, kneelFrequently required to talk or hearOccasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)Frequently work near moving mechanical partsOccasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicalsOccasionally exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather)Occasionally exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materialsWhile performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
