Journeyman Welder

Journeyman Welder El Cajon 1st Shift $30/hr-$40/hr Job Description We are seeking a skilled journeyman welder to perform TIG/MIG welding on assemblies, assist with fit-up and fabrication, and operate hand grinders. This position is based on-site in El Cajon, CA, and requires a commitment of four days per week. Responsibilities + Perform TIG and MIG welding on assemblies. + Read and interpret blueprints. + Operate hand grinders. + Weld using exotic materials including alloys, inconel, and 300/400 series stainless steel. + Work with different material thicknesses such as .032, .060, .090, and .0188. + Execute welding using back gaps. + Set up weld machines, including adjusting amperage and understanding weld symbols. Essential Skills + Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding techniques. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Experience with welding exotic materials such as alloys and stainless steel. + Knowledge of welding assembly and fixture usage. + Capability to perform 6G welds. + Own welding hood. + Willingness to work on various jobs within and outside the welding field. + Ability to fabricate parts under supervision. + Experience documenting work, including types of rods and welds used. + Skill in identifying materials and setting them on traveler. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of El Cajon, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
