Senior Java Developer - Hybrid Hartford, CT

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to support and modernize a long standing broker and commission calculation platform (~22 years old). This role will serve as a backfill on a highly visible system and will focus on both ongoing enhancements and cloud modernization initiatives within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate is a strong senior level engineer who can adapt quickly to shifting priorities, work across legacy and modern technologies, and contribute to large scale data processing solutions. ________________________________________ Responsibilities u2022u2003Develop and maintain backend services using Java (7/8, migrating to Java 21) and Spring Boot u2022u2003Build and enhance API driven applications with a small focus on microservices u2022u2003Work within GCP to: ou2003Load data from on prem systems into GCP ou2003Process large scale data workloads ou2003Return processed data to downstream systems u2022u2003Develop and maintain PySpark rules (100+ existing rules) used for commission processing u2022u2003Collaborate on frontend development using React (Angular experience acceptable with willingness to learn React) u2022u2003Maintain and enhance integrations using SOAP services (REST experience required; SOAP can be learned) u2022u2003Work with DB2 databases hosted on Linux servers u2022u2003Use DevOps and Agile tools (Jira, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions or similar) u2022u2003Adapt quickly to sprint to sprint changes in priorities and workload must be able to come onsite 3 days a week in Hartford, CT We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
