Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a growing manufacturing company located in the Horsham area in Pennsylvania. This role is crucial in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements to support the organization's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in accounting and finance, particularly within the manufacturing or aerospace sectors. Responsibilities: u2022 Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering growth and aligning efforts with business objectives. u2022 Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including month-end close activities and financial results analysis. u2022 Develop and maintain effective financial reporting systems and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance. u2022 Lead the creation of forecasts, annual budgets, strategic plans, and detailed financial analytics. u2022 Act as the finance representative for cross-functional teams, contributing to quarterly business reviews and presentations. u2022 Offer expertise in pricing strategies, proposal development, and adherence to government contracting regulations. u2022 Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations. u2022 Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements by working closely with other departments. u2022 Partner with IT to enhance automation processes and implement new financial technologies. u2022 Manage special projects and support additional departmental functions as required. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required; advanced certifications are a plus. u2022 Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within manufacturing or aerospace industries. u2022 Strong understanding of technical accounting principles, with the ability to analyze and explain budget, prior year, and variance results. u2022 Experience with manufacturing cost accounting and government contracts, including DFARS compliance. u2022 Proficiency in financial statement preparation and reporting processes. u2022 Familiarity with data warehousing and Power BI projects is preferred. u2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement and value creation. u2022 Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
