Design Engineer

Job Title: Design EngineerJob Description We are seeking a Design Engineer (I/II/III) to support the design, development, and customization of manufactured equipment used in demanding industrial applications. This role focuses on 3D modeling, engineering drawings, BOMs, and design support from concept through production. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Production teams. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical design fundamentals, hands-on CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred), and a practical understanding of manufacturability and fabrication processes. Responsibilities + Design and develop manufactured equipment for industrial applications. + Create and manage 3D models and engineering drawings. + Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documents. + Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Production teams. + Support the design process from concept through production. + Utilize PDM/PLM systems and manage engineering change processes. Essential Skills + 3+ years of mechanical design engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. + Proficiency with 3D CAD software, with SolidWorks strongly preferred. + Knowledge of mechanical design principles and materials selection. + Understanding of manufacturing processes including fabrication, machining, and assembly. + Experience in creating engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation. + Strong communication skills. + Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in industrial equipment design and heavy manufacturing environments. Work Environment You will be working primarily on the manufacturing floor, with a dynamic and hands-on approach, as opposed to a traditional desk job. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Hollidaysburg, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
