Job Title: Welder and Fabricator Job Description + Join our team as a Welder and Fabricator, working on custom stainless steel tanks of various sizes and shapes. + You will engage in stainless steel welding with a strong focus on high-cosmetic products. + This role requires proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding processes, along with full layout and blueprint reading capabilities. + Additional tasks include basic fabrication such as cutting pipe, using a drill press, and band saw operations, as well as occasional polishing of welds. Responsibilities + Weld custom stainless steel tanks using both MIG and TIG processes. + Engage in basic fabrication, including cutting pipe and using machinery such as a drill press and band saw. + Inspect welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion, making necessary repairs. + Grind, polish, and finish welds to meet aesthetic requirements. + Setup and operate welding equipment, adjusting voltage, amperage, and gas flow. + Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. Essential Skills + Expertise in MIG and TIG welding. + 2+ years of welding experience, particularly with stainless steel fabrication. + Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols. + Physical ability to crawl, crouch, stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Completion of a vocational welding program or trade school is a plus. + Familiarity with various types and grades of stainless steel. + Prior fabrication experience, including cutting and using a drill press, shear, and band saw. + Ability to weld from all positions, including tight spots and confined spaces. Work Environment + Work in a workshop environment focused on producing custom stainless steel tanks for fuel, food and water processing, and alcohol fermentation. + The shop is fairly clean but expect some metal dust. + Collaborate with 15-20 colleagues on the production floor, contributing to the creation of high-quality stainless steel products. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
