FTE: 0.900000 Standard Hours: 36.00 Shift: 1200-0030 withrotating weekends and holidays. Job Summary: Performs primary nursingfunctions of assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient carein the emergency department to patients of all ages suffering fromvarious types of illness or trauma. The RN serves as a professional rolemodel by collaborating with clinical and front office staff,administration and other professional disciplines to ensure effectivepatient care is delivered to optimal patient outcomes. EXPERIENCEDESCRIPTION: A minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergencydepartment setting is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in anemergency department setting is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a levelnormally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years educationat an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensureas a Registered Nurse is required. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Requirescurrent state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-stateNursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse LicensureCompact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for theHealthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is requiredwithin 30 days of hire.American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced CardiacLife Support (ACLS) is required within 6 months of hire. American HeartAssociation (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is requiredwithin one year of hire. Trauma Nurse Course certification (TNCC) ispreferred.
