We are seeking a highly motivated and SDV Platform Architect to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing cuttingu2011edge Software Platform that enables SDV. Imagine being the architect of the software that powers a vehicle's OS. They're the masterminds behind the scenes, configuring the core software components to ensure the vehicle's software systems are reliable and efficient. They dive deep into code to solve complex issues like processor resets and software glitches, ensuring the engine runs smoothly and the car responds to every driver command. They build the platform, optimize performance across processors, integrate software, and troubleshoot issues to create a safer, more efficient, and enjoyable driving experience. What you'll do... + Architect and configure the bedrock of SDV Platform systems Develop requirements for platform that is across all vehicle onboard modules. Architect platform hardware agnostic solution that works for uC and uP modules working with OS ( Hard and Soft time). Benchmark industry solutions for middleware. Configure BSW and AUTOSAR Classic / adaptive ( Compliant / compatible/open source alternatives) components (SOVD, watchdog, NVM ) to ensure safety, security, stability, reliability, and performance. Architect common services for cross domain applications. Architect platform to be configurable across multi variant vehicles. + Master debugging and problemu2011solving Troubleshoot lowu2011level processor resets and software issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions. + Optimize performance through platform design Strategically distribute runnables across processor cores to maximize efficiency. + Integrate diverse software components Integrate custom device drivers and partneru2011built platform software into the platform. + Analyze and troubleshoot vehicle/powertrain behavior Determine root causes, validate corrective actions, and develop preventative measures. You'll haveu2026 + B.S. in EE/ME/CS or related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. + 5 years testing/debugging automotive embedded systems, generating an RTE + 5 years Embedded C experience + 1+ year Python, Rust scripting + 2 years modeling, simulation, and testing + 2 years AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive / Open Source Alternatives BSW config or BSW/CDD development + 2+ years with compilers, makefiles, SW build, CI automation Even better, you may haveu2026 + M.S. in EE/ME/CS or related field + Experience distributing tasks & measuring CPU load in multicore architectures + Ability to train team on MacSec configuration + MacSec/Ethernet industry experience + Configure, test, debug MacSec components + Familiarity with Agile/SAFe + Experience working crossu2011functionally + Prior knowledge of building SDV platform for vehicles + Experience with Config as a code You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
