HR Generalist - Sole Practitioner - Contract - Hybrid

Description Robert Half HR Solutions is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Decatur, Georgia. This Contract engagement offers the opportunity to play a critical role in managing the employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth onboarding, accurate payroll coordination, and effective benefits administration. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with employment regulations. There is the possibility that this role will be contract to hire. The role is hybrid, coming onsite to the office 1-2 days and the rest of the days will be working from home. The ideal candidate will have operated as a sole HR department for a small organization. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee onboarding processes, including verifying employment documentation and conducting HR orientation sessions. u2022 Ensure accurate maintenance of personnel files and compliance with employment regulations. u2022 Coordinate payroll documentation submission and communicate employment status changes to the Finance team. u2022 Monitor benefits eligibility, assist employees with enrollment, and support open enrollment processes. u2022 Manage employee technology needs, including distribution, tracking, and troubleshooting of equipment. u2022 Track and celebrate employee milestones such as anniversaries and promotions. u2022 Maintain and update HR policies and documentation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. u2022 Collaborate with various departments to improve HR workflows and address operational gaps. u2022 Facilitate offboarding processes, including documentation, system updates, and equipment retrieval. u2022 Support leadership in handling employee concerns and maintaining proper documentation for employment decisions. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations and HR administration. u2022 Strong knowledge of onboarding processes and benefit functions. u2022 Proficient in HRIS systems and comfortable managing HR-related technology - candidates with Bamboo HR will be given first consideration u2022 Proven ability to maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing documentation and processes. u2022 Effective communication skills to engage with employees and collaborate across departments. u2022 Experience in payroll coordination and benefits administration. u2022 Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes effectively.
