HR Generalist

Express Employment Professionals - Brooklyn, NY is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to join a growing organization. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management. Job Description As an HR Generalist, you’ll serve as a key partner to management and employees, supporting day-to-day HR operations and implementing best practices that foster a positive and compliant work environment. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting, screening, and onboarding Administer employee benefits, payroll changes, and HR documentation Support employee relations by addressing concerns and maintaining records Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Assist in performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations Maintain HRIS data accuracy and generate reports as needed Coordinate training and professional development programs Requirements ✅ Experience - 3+ years of HR Generalist or related HR experience✅ Education - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)✅ Knowledge - Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices✅ Skills - Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational abilities✅ Software - Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite✅ Commute - Must reside within a reasonable distance (60 minutes or less commute) About Express Employment Professionals At Express Employment Professionals - Brooklyn, we connect experienced HR professionals with top employers across New York City.
