Job Title: Solar Technician (Utility-Scale)Location: Lancaster, CAPay Rate: Up to $30/hour (DOE)Employment Type: Full-Time Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Solar Technician to work in a utility-scale solar field in Lancaster, CA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with solar PV systems and be comfortable working in the field performing troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs from the module level through the point of interconnection. Key Responsibilities · Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment on a utility-scale solar farm, from PV modules to the point of interconnection (POI). · Respond promptly to dispatched calls for offline or underperforming equipment. · Perform preventative maintenance, quality assurance inspections, and balance of plant (BOP) work. · Ensure systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and industry standards. · Create accurate field service reports and submit documentation in a timely manner. · Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and site-specific safety requirements. Required Qualifications · Previous experience working as a Solar Technician on utility-scale solar projects. · Strong knowledge of PV systems, inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, and related equipment. · Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively. · Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. · Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical documentation. · Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
