Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. This role will focus on managing invoice processing and ensuring accurate coding and timely payments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of accounts payable procedures. Responsibilities: u2022 Process incoming invoices by verifying accuracy and ensuring proper coding. u2022 Conduct regular check runs to facilitate timely payments. u2022 Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable activities. u2022 Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or payment issues. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations. u2022 Review and approve invoices for payment after thorough validation. u2022 Support the finance team with additional tasks related to accounts payable. u2022 Prepare reports on accounts payable metrics and performance. u2022 Reconcile accounts payable balances to ensure accuracy. u2022 Assist in improving processes for greater efficiency in invoice handling.
