Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to join the Enterprise Technology Transformation team. You will work with architects, engineers, system owners, product managers and business leaders at multiple levels to design and build highly scalable enterprise systems that address business problems and accelerate building the road to space As a member of the team you will also develop core components of our Enterprise Resource Planning platform at Blue Origin, a critical and core component of Blue Origin's success.You will apply your software engineering expertise, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Aerospace experience is not required You will have full ownership of engineering challenges and collaborate with fellow engineers. The success of the mission at Blue Origin depends on the software that you and your team will build.Responsibilities:Develop highly reliable software solutions that are used across Blue OriginCreate new applications that improve how Blue Origin's business operatesOwn all aspects of software engineeringDeep dive into your users' problems and partner with product managers to find and create efficient solutionsPlay an active role in architectural design, code reviews, and challenging requirementsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional experience building software in lieu of a degreeExperience in full stack developmentProficient in using LLMs to accelerate software developmentDesired:Knowledge of modern programming languages such as Java, Python, Go or RustExperience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery conceptsDeep understanding of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment & monitoringExpertise in debugging, profiling, and improving application performanceExperience in design and development of cloud native solutions, micro-services and backend systemsExperience working with in-stream data processing using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or similar technologiesProduction experience with Docker and KubernetesFront-end experience in Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworkAdvanced level SQL and scriptingExcellent verbal and written communications skillCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $134,961.00 - $188,945.40Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
