Summary: The Visiting Scholar will provide their expertise in outcomes and translational research to share knowledge and experiences, enhancing the level of thoracic surgery original investigation performed at Rush University Medical Center. The scholar will exemplify the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures. Other information: u2022 Masters Degree or Doctoral degree u2022 Familiarity with bioinformatic analysis, including specialized computer programs/software. u2022 Attention to detail and accuracy. u2022 Effective oral and written communication. u2022 Ability to understand and interpret results. Responsibilities: u2022 Design, clinical data collection, body composition analysis, bioinformatics and statistical analysis, manuscript writing, and presentation or results u2022 Propose study ideas for investigation u2022 Perform clinical data collection to carry our studies u2022 Perform body composition analyses with Rush provided software u2022 Critically analyze the data and be able to provide publication ready data and figures. u2022 May complete preliminary analysis of experimental data and interpret results. u2022 Carry our manuscript writing and present data at regional, national, and international meetings.
