Digital Law Librarian

Description A DC law firm is seeking a skilled law librarian to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting legal professionals by conducting comprehensive research and managing digital resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal and policy research, combined with expertise in utilizing advanced digital tools and platforms. Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct in-depth legal, legislative, regulatory, and policy research to provide accurate and timely information to attorneys and paralegals. u2022 Manage and organize digital records and resources on the shared intranet to ensure accessibility and efficiency. u2022 Utilize and maintain research tools and AI platforms, including Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg, and Copilot, to enhance research capabilities. u2022 Develop and deliver training sessions on technology and research tools for attorneys, paralegals, and staff. u2022 Monitor advancements in research technologies and recommend updates or new tools to improve workflows. u2022 Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards while managing digital resources. u2022 Collaborate with legal teams to provide tailored solutions to complex research needs. u2022 Maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in all research and documentation tasks Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal research or law library management. u2022 Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Westlaw, Lexis, and Bloomberg. u2022 Strong knowledge of artificial intelligence applications in legal research. u2022 Experience with managing library resources and digital records. u2022 Familiarity with legislative and regulatory research processes. u2022 Expertise in SharePoint for organizing and sharing digital resources. u2022 Excellent communication and training skills to support staff development. u2022 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
