The Scrum Master is responsible for guiding Agile teams in the effective use of Scrum practices, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role ensures that teams remain focused, collaborative, and aligned with organizational goals while delivering highu2011quality products.(6-8 years) Weu2019re looking for Scrum Master who can deliver within Cognizantu2019s Five Pillars of Consulting : 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Consultant, this means creating high-quality client deliverables and taking ownership (with supervision) of producing client content and meeting client expectations; developing an expertise in your functional area, including obtaining certifications; contributing to Client Satisfaction and/or RFPs; supporting leadership and contributing to content development for service offerings; and participating in People Care initiatives and exhibiting personal leadership at all times. If you have experience with the above, are a selfless leader, and are committed to client-facing environment; if you want to grow your career with a team that wants to build something great together, we want to hear from you Apply now Responsibilities Facilitation & Agile Delivery u00b7 Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standu2011ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. u00b7 Support the team in breaking down work, estimating effort, and maintaining a healthy, prioritized backlog. u00b7 Ensure the team adheres to Agile principles and Scrum best practices. Team Support & Coaching u00b7 Coach team members, product owners, and stakeholders on Agile mindset, frameworks, and delivery practices. u00b7 Promote selfu2011organization, accountability, and crossu2011functional collaboration within the team. u00b7 Identify team dynamics issues and help foster a positive, productive working environment. Impediment Removal u00b7 Proactively identify and remove blockers that hinder team progress. u00b7 Coordinate with crossu2011functional teams, leadership, and external partners to resolve dependencies. u00b7 Shield the team from distractions to maintain focus on sprint goals. Stakeholder Collaboration u00b7 Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure clarity of requirements, readiness of user stories, and alignment on priorities. u00b7 Facilitate communication between technical and business stakeholders to ensure shared understanding. u00b7 Provide visibility into team progress through metrics, dashboards, and status updates. Continuous Improvement u00b7 Drive a culture of learning and improvement through regular retrospectives and actionable followu2011ups. u00b7 Encourage experimentation, innovation, and adoption of new tools or practices that enhance team performance. u00b7 Monitor team health, velocity, and delivery patterns to identify improvement opportunities. Agile Governance & Reporting u00b7 Maintain sprint artifacts such as burndown charts, team capacity plans, and impediment logs. u00b7 Support Agile transformation initiatives and contribute to organizational Agile maturity. u00b7 Ensure compliance with internal processes, quality standards, and delivery frameworks. Qualifications + 6-8 years working in technology, consulting, professional services, or solution development within the industry. u00b7 Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum and Kanban. u00b7 Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and coaching teams in Agile practices. u00b7 Excellent communication, conflictu2011resolution, and servantu2011leadership skills. u00b7 Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate complex stakeholder environments. u00b7 Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally. Working arrangements u00b7 Hybrid, Washington DC.
