Leads maintenance teams and operators to maximize equipment availability, safety and productivity while controlling costs. This role manages load logistics/planning, dispatching and coordination with rebar and scrap leadership, maintenance program, equipment lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, vendor relationships, and operational performance to ensure maximum uptime and productivity.PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESEssential Job DutiesSafety & Complianceu2022 Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations (ex: DOT, OSHA)u2022 Implement and enforce fleet safety programs, policies and trainingu2022 Investigate incidents, accidents and equipment failures; implement corrective actionsFleet, Equipment & Operational Managementu2022 Oversee daily fleet operations, dispatching loads, coordinating overnight loads, load scheduling and operational planning. Permits for oversize loadsu2022 Coordinating overnight trip planning and lodging for drivers.u2022 Manage fleet documentation and asset records for insurance purposes and life cycle planningu2022 Ensure equipment availability, reliability for operational needs and complianceu2022 Develop and manage preventative maintenance and inspection program.
