Appropriate title and pay will be assigned based on Education and ExperienceA Brief OverviewFollows laboratory policies and procedures to perform high and moderate complexity testing. Performs pre-analytical and post-analytical laboratory support functions. Demonstrates clear communication with team members to optimize laboratory operationsWhat You Will DoAccurately and efficiently performs pre-analytical, analytical and post analytical processes for laboratory testingMaintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment according to manufacturer's instructionsPerforms and evaluates all required quality control assessments as described in departmental policies and procedures prior to reporting patient results.Evaluates results of laboratory tests according to laboratory protocols to ensure quality patient care.Documents all laboratory activities according to policies and proceduresMaintains and demonstrates competency assessment in assigned areaTakes responsibility for self-developmentCompletes all assigned mandatory assignments within allowed timelines.Is active participant in departmental projectsCollaborates with the laboratory supervisor to ensure laboratory compliance with all regulatory agencies by established standardsTrains students and new team members, and is a resource for other technical team members.Assesses competency of team members as assigned.Additional ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as plies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
