The RN collaborates with patients, patient families/significant others, Physicians/Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), patient care staff, leadership and community partners.It's an exciting time to be a nurse at MultiCare. Together, we are creating an environment where nurses are owners in the clinical decision-making process, are well connected, have open communication with their colleagues, feel supported to develop professionally, and understand the future of nursing at MultiCare.Responsibilities:Utilizes the nursing process as a systematic problem-solving approach to nursing care, facilitating an optimal level of functioning and health for the dependently triages patients in person, via telephone and secure messages, utilizing protocols, guidelines, and standards.Uses critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care, which includes knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data.Uses assessment and analysis skills in delivering medical regimens as directed by physicians and APPs.Delegates selected patient care functions to others in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.Collaborates with the clinic team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience and stewardship.Fosters a learning environment for patients, families, and all members of the health care team.Advocates for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Nursing, or obtained within five (5) years from the initial date of hire; RN with 25+ years of service may be considered in lieu of education agreementAdvanced degree in Nursing (MSN, PhD, DNP, ARNP) preferredRegistered Nurse license (RN) in Washington State or multi-state licensure endorsement (MSL)Current BLS CertificationAdvanced Life Support certification may be required after hire, depending on assigned clinic siteTwo years of experience as a RN - in a clinic setting preferredCandidates with less than two years' experience may be considered for Transition to Practice ProgramAbout Capital Medical CenterMultiCare Capital Medical Center is a 107-bed community hospital providing award-winning care to Olympia and surrounding communities.
