FTE: 0.800000 Standard Hours: 32.00 Shift: Shift 1 ShiftDetails: Holidays: Weekends: Job Summary: Coordinates the scheduling ofcomplex multidisciplinary care across the network for all establishedpatients receiving comprehensive cancer care. In partnership with thepatient, navigates the health care system including facilitatingcommunication among patients, family, patient care team, multiple clinicdepartments and providers. Triages a large number of incoming phonecalls and multiple scheduling work queues to assure patients receivecoordinated, sequential, timely care. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Nonerequired, unless no associate degree. Experience with complex oncologyscheduling systems is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Associate degreeis required. In lieu of degree, high school diploma and at least twoyears of experience in intake, registration, scheduling or one yearCancer Center Scheduling is required. Completion of a medicalterminology course is preferred. Bachelors degree is preferred. SPECIALSKILLS DESCRIPTION: Knowledge of medical terminology. Professionalwritten/verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability toidentify critical issues and exercise independent judgment. Demonstrateddetail orientation with the ability to analyze, problem solve organizeand manage multiple priorities. Excellent follow up skills a must.Proficiency in Word and Excel programs, Microsoft Office systems.Critical thinking skills.
