Primary Purpose Exelon is strengthening its enterprise Organizational Change Management capability to ensure employees and leaders are equipped to navigate ongoing organizational change successfully. The Principal Change Management Consultant assigned to projects supports the framework used to proactively plan and manage the steps required to prepare impacted business areas for change. This role contributes to the design and implementation of project change deliverables including change plans, communication, stakeholder engagement, feedback mechanisms, and training activities. This role provides advisory support to project resources on the application of change management. The Principal Change Management Consultant assigned to the Center of Excellence (COE) supports the governance and continuous improvement of OCM strategies, standards, and tools. This role provides advisory support and research to advance the organizationu2019s change management practice. The Consultant contributes to the design and enhancement of enterprise OCM training and capability building resources that strengthen organizational change leadership capability. Primary Duties + Communications Delivery & Management: Manages and supports OCM communications activities, including creating, and reviewing deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with standard. 30% + Workstream Management (Scope, Schedule & Risk Management). Oversee day-to-day activities and priorities for OCM workstreams. Contributes to workplans, tracks progress against milestones. 10% + Training Management & Support. Create, review and approve OCM training materials and contributes to identifying impacted learner groups. Supports the needs analysis, design, and development & delivery of training programs. 40% + Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management. Leads OCM-related meetings and serves as a key point of contact for business partners regarding assigned OCM activities. Builds strong working relationships to support alignment and readiness across impacted groups. 20% Job Scope Operates as an individual contributor with deep expertise in Organizational Change Management, delivering work independently with limited guidance. Works across multiple organizations and stakeholder groups . Navigates multiple assignments and shifting priorities with adaptability, resilience, and strong organizational skills. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and business partners to ensure alignment. Contributes to planning and estimating OCM activities; demonstrates financial awareness when managing work effort, timelines, and resources. Supports rotational on-call responsibilities during major storm or emergency events, consistent with roles across the utility. Minimum Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree in a discipline related to the process area being supported or in lieu of bacheloru2019s degree, 9-12 years of relevant experience. + 7-10 yearsu2019 experience in Change Management or Communications associated with small to moderately sized change initiatives or part of a large team on a large project. + Experience/knowledge of Organizational Change Management principles, methodologies, and tools. + Exceptional communication skills, able to express messages in different ways to facilitate a better understanding. Able to simplify the complex, making it easy for people to understand the changes, what they need to do, and how to succeed. + Excellent active listening skills, adapts communications style as needed to best suit the audience and situation. Agile, with a learning mindset. + Strong partnering and influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and systemically and achieve results collaborating across organizational boundaries. + Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast, complex, and changing environment. Preferred Qualifications + Knowledge and experience using the ADDIE model and instructional design tools like Articulate 360 + Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as SuccessFactors + Adult learning theory and behavior change principles + Organizational Change Management certification (e.g. Prosci, AMCP) + Capability-building and competency model frameworks + Project management skills (PMP certification a plus) + Leadership Development certification (e.g., HPT, MBTI, CQ) + Experience leading business/IT training design, development, and delivery for complex projects and audiences of varying levels and business functions.
