Description The General Superintendent is responsible for the day to day on-site administrative and construction processes for all field related activities. The General Superintendent will ensure contractual completion of the various project discipline superintendents to include electrical, mechanical, civil, instrumentation and controls, and construction. + Responsible for overall project safety management and compliance with the applicable Safety and Health Plans, includes reviewing and auditing site specific safety documentation for Pre-Task Analysis (PTAs) and Task Safety Observations (TSOs) on a regular basis. + Lead and oversee field meetings including: safety, coordination and schedule meetings. + May be responsible for overall day-to-day activities or report to a Site Manager based on assignment. + Enforce compliance with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules and client requirements. + Document all violations, notify Construction Management, and recommend/implement corrective actions as required. + Provide accurate performance feedback for project team members. + Develop and foster effective client and subcontractor relationships. + Interface with client representatives, municipal authorities and other contractors as necessary to execute projects. + Communicate and interface with Engineering Manager and discipline engineers to resolve field engineering items. + Collaborate with the project management team to implement Project Execution Plans, project procedures, working documents, site procedures and project standards. + Responsible for ensuring contractual compliance with contracted and subcontracted parties on designated construction related activities. + Review Subcontractor progress payments and Supplier invoices. + Provide technical assistance, interpretation of drawings, and recommendation of construction methods and equipment installation. + Complete daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports as necessary to document construction progress. + Review all subordinate and Subcontractor field reports, depending on the project, may support Site Manager with the same activities. + Utilize three-week look-ahead reports and the overall project schedule to identify any concerns with work plans. + Oversee and direct construction progress tracking and forecasting including Field Progress Measurement System, Critical Path Scheduling and commodity tracking systems; depending on the project, may support site manager with the same activities. + Oversee and direct the final construction documentation turnover process to clients, includes construction turnover to clients or internal startup and commissioning teams; depending on the project, may support Site Manager with the same activities. + Supervise and enforce compliance with project Quality Management System under supervision of the Construction Manager. + Oversee craft supervision and project staffing as required. + Provide oversight of project site material and tool management. + Responsible for the daily field construction of an individual project in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company. + Supervises and directs the daily efforts of the physical construction of the project through daily coordination of all field activities, subcontractor direction, and code/specification compliance. + Read, interpret, and understand isometric drawings, structural drawings, and P&ID's. + Read, interpret, and understand civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls and instrumentation drawings, specification and commercial documents. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications + Bachelor's degree and 13 years construction management experience or craft supervision experience on a similar project required. + Or, Associate's degree and 15 years construction management experience or craft supervision experience on a similar project required. + Or, High School Diploma/GED and 17 years construction management experience or craft supervision experience on a similar project required. + General understanding of all construction disciplines. + Position requires excellent communications skills and supervisory skills of field construction personnel. + Must be able to meet company's driving requirements. + Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite. Compensation $215,000.00-310,000.00 Yearly The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
