JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION SUMMARY: The Facilities Helper reports to theMaintenance Supervisor and is responsible for perform routine buildingmaintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs,plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilation systems maintenance,and keeping accurate maintenance records. The Facilities Helper ensuresthat maintenance requirements/needs are completed in a timely andaccurate manner to maintain current production requirements. TheFacilities Helper will use continuous improvement to remain proactive inidentifying and addressing facility and maintenance related issues.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Complies with all safety standards and regulations.Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minorelectrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and heating and ventilationsystems maintenance Ensure sidewalks and driveways are maintained in atidy, hazard-free manner by appropriately de-icing as necessary andcleaning Clean interior of the building, as well as machinery andequipment, and exterior of the building Assist Maintenance Technicianswith minor equipment maintenance when required Assist/Perform minorfabrication tasks when required Equipment Hand tools, power tools,welding equipment, all manufacturing equipment and related energysources KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES: Ability to read a tape measureAbility to use hand and power tools Ability to use special micrometersand gauges Ability to work safely and efficiently Ability to work withclose tolerances Ability to work in a team and independently Strongattention to detail and ability to follow instruction and writtenprocesses Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives,motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doingother preventive maintenance actions. Inspect, operate, or testmachinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Repairmachines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists,saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuringinstruments or electrical or electronic testing devices. Order parts,supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers. Assemble, install, orrepair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems,plumbing, machinery, or equipment. Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings,gears, or other parts of machinery. Align and balance new equipmentafter installation. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties. Test and treatwater supply. Provide groundskeeping services, such as landscaping orsnow removal. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent 1-2+ years'experience working in a Maintenance position in a manufacturingenvironment Ability to use basic math to analyze information Experiencewith computer systems Ability to work safely and efficiently Ability towork in a team Ability to be self-directed and work independently Strongattention to detail and ability to follow instruction and writtenprocesses Strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency Ability tohandle multiple tasks simultaneously PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with painting Experience with carpentry Experience withplumbing PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND VISUAL DEMANDS: Lift: 30 40 lbs. on aregular basis Two person lift: can exceed 100 lbs. Overhead work:regular basis Work above head, laying on your back, and working onequipment above you.
