The Manufacturing Safety Summer Intern will support the Safety and EHS team at our El Paso manufacturing facility, focusing on proactive injury prevention, regulatory compliance, and data-driven safety initiatives during peak summer operations.This internship provides hands-on exposure to plant safety operations within a high-production manufacturing environment. The intern will work closely with plant leadership and safety professionals to strengthen compliance, improve documentation, and support heat-illness prevention efforts.This position is located in El Paso, Texas and is an onsite internship opportunity. This is not a remote role. The selected intern will present project outcomes at our annual Intern Expo Day on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. Program Details + Program Dates: Monday, May 18, 2026 Friday, August 7, 2026 + Length: 12 Weeks + Schedule: Full-time, hourly + Required: Must be available for the full program duration and attend/present at Intern Expo Day Project Scope & Responsibilities The Manufacturing Safety Intern will support the following initiatives: Proactive Injury & Heat-Illness Prevention + Assist with safety observations and facility inspections + Support heat-stress monitoring during high-temperature months + Help identify and address potential risks before incidents occur Compliance & Documentation Support + Assist with completion and organization of safety audits + Maintain training records and regulatory documentation + Support OSHA and corporate compliance tracking Data-Driven Safety Initiatives + Collect, organize, and analyze safety and heat-related data + Identify trends and assist in recommending corrective actions + Support reporting efforts for plant leadership Operational Support for Safety Programs + Provide administrative and coordination support for safety initiatives + Enable safety staff to focus on training, risk assessments, and continuous improvement efforts Project Impact A successful internship will: + Strengthen injury and heat-illness prevention during peak operations + Improve audit readiness and compliance documentation + Enhance data visibility to support proactive safety decisions + Support continuous improvement within the manufacturing safety program + Contribute to development of future safety talent within the organization Qualifications + Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field + Strong analytical and organizational skills + Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment + Strong communication and problem-solving skills + Proficient in Microsoft Office What You Will Gain + Hands-on experience in plant-level safety operations + Exposure to OSHA compliance and corporate safety standards + Experience supporting heat-stress prevention initiatives + Opportunity to present measurable safety improvements to leadership We offer competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, career opportunities, and an environment of creativity and growth.
