Description Join Our Collaborative Nutrition Team Weu2019re looking for a passionate Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our positive, supportive, dietitian team at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, WA. If youu2019re committed to improving patient outcomes and thrive in a team-oriented environment, weu2019d love to meet you PeaceHealth is seeking a Dietitian I -Per Diem/Relief, 0.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $30.12 u2013 $45.18. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Essential Functions + Assess nutritional needs of patients and develop individualized care plans. + Provide medical nutrition therapy for a variety of conditions. + Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. + Educate patients and families on nutrition strategies for health and recovery. + Document assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic health record. + Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental projects. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Qualifications + Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential.Registered Dietitian or registration eligible (must pass the Registration Exam within 180 days). + Master's Degree Required: in a related field of study. + Caregivers who earned their RD license before 1/1/2024 will be grandfathered. + Clinical experience preferred, but new RDs are welcome + Strong communication and teamwork skills. Must be able to design, implement, and evaluate instructional materials + May be required: Certified Dietitian - Washington Required for Outpatient Dietitians in WA. Inpatient Dietitians are not required to maintain state certification in WA + May be required: Current Medicare provider status number Skills + Demonstrated skill in teaching adults and pediatrics of varying competency levels. (Required) + Must be able to design, implement, and evaluate instructional materials. (Required) + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Required) + Ability to interact with a variety of departments and work independently on numerous projects simultaneously. (Required) + Proficient in the use of computers including MS Office applications. (Required) + Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patientu2019s needs. (Required) Department / Location Specific Notes PHSW only: + WA State Dietitian Certification required only for outpatient billing Dietitians; Dietitian Certification not required for inpatient Dietitians. Bariatric Surgery Dietitians: + Provides one-on-one nutrition counseling, teaching group nutrition classes, and leading support groups. + Participates in program events, including information sessions, pre/postoperative weight loss groups and bariatric forums. + Specialist certification in Obesity and Weight management issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration required or must obtain within 12 months of hire. Mental/Visual + Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted). + Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
