This role bridges mission needs, operational workflows, and modern software architectures, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and compliant with DoW cybersecurity and accreditation requirements. The Software Solution Architect serves as the technical authority for solution design across cloud, edge, and on-prem environments, working closely with program leadership, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and DevSecOps teams to deliver ATO-ready mission software. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing Mission Software solution across Defense. This role will be a leader in GDITu2019s Mission Software Center of Excellence. u25cf Lead/Manage/Support the technical solutions repartment of equired to address the Mission software needs of Defense customers u25cf Collaborate with Defense Grow, Business Development, Chief Technology Officeru2019s organization and our customers u25cf Drive innovative solutions that efficiently solve customer problems. u25cf Utilize Kubernetes, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learn, AI assisted DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, Agile WHAT YOUu2019LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your initiative and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Solutions Architect Principal must have: u25cf Education: Minimum Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, or 4+ years of additional equivalent work experience u25cf Experience: 8+ years of experience, some of which is working on DoW systems u25cf Technical skills: Experience Architecting large scale software systems, Modular Open Systems Approaches, Full stack software development experience, experience writing DoW proposals/whitepapers, Agile DevSecOps with automated CI/CD, Some Experience with AI Assisted DevSecOps, Cloud Architecture, and Infrastructure as Code u25cf Security clearance level: Must have Secret clearance to start and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret u25cf US citizenship required u25cf Role requirements: Strong Communications skills both written and verbal, Leadership skills, management, Software architecture across microservices, event-driven systems, and modular monoliths. Mission-focused mindset with strong operational empathy. Ability to communicate complex architectures to technical and non-technical audiences. The likely salary range for this position is $158,950 - $215,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
