Duties:Support the overall mission, goals and objectives of Joni and Friends. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist with Family Retreats and Getaways. Provide support in recruitment and organizing a team of volunteers to carry out retreat tasks before, during and after Family RetreatAssist with application processes and communications for families and volunteers. Provide support with background check process for volunteers.Actively evaluate program post Family Retreat and plan for changes as neededAssist with Family Retreat preparation, execution and follow-up Provide support in promoting, facilitating, and leading Joni and Friends church equipping using Joni and Friends Ministry Relations materials and other training materials, for awareness and education in churches and educational settings at every levelWork with marketing team on content for Joni and Friends USA account and other platforms Participate in local and international Joni and Friends programs as opportunities arise. Assist with logistics in the wheelchair collection programSupport donor development and participate in fundraising efforts as neededAssist the Ministry Operations Manager executing events or aspects of eventsRepresent Ministry in the community. In collaboration with other staff members and volunteers, set up and operate promotional efforts at area conferences and events as availableOther duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needsQualifications:Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faithDesire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministrySelf-starter and team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to provide support to multiple projects and multiple volunteer teams Able to interact effectively with leaders throughout the communityExperience in camping ministry preferredStrong computer knowledge and proficient in Microsoft Office SuitePassion for people affected by disability and scriptural knowledge related to Gods heart for people who are marginalizedFlexible and available to work evenings, weekends and travelValid drivers license is requiredUnderstanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirablePhysical Requirements:This position involves both sedentary office work and occasional physical activity during and in preparation of onsite and offsite events. The employee must be able to sit for extended periods, operate a computer and other standard office equipment, and communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through virtual platforms. During events, the role may require standing or walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, carrying materials, and setting up or breaking down event spaces. The employee must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull items such as boxes, signage, or supplies up to 25 pounds.Work is primarily performed in an office setting but also includes offsite environments such as hotels, conference centers, and retreat facilities. Offsite work may involve varying temperatures, lighting, and noise levels, as well as periods of increased activity during event setup and execution. Employees are expected to maintain professionalism, safety awareness, and flexibility while adapting to different environments and schedules.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the pensation for this position is $21.50 - $24.50 per hour (non-exempt).
