Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a Full-time Operational Pharmacist in Williamsburg, VA.Location: Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, Williamsburg, VAStatus: Full TimeShift: Rotating (8 hours, 5 days)Hours: 6:00 am - 11:00 pmWeekends: Approximately two Weekends every six weeksHoliday RotationHours may vary to meet needs of the pharmacy, may be required to work within the hours of 6am-11pm and provide occasional weekend coverage as needed.The Operational Pharmacy Specialist participates in the medication-use system while delivering comprehensive and individualized pharmaceutical care to patients. Assumes local and system responsibility and accountability for specialized areas of pharmacy operations (e.g., compounding, drug diversion, quality, and safety). Ensures the appropriateness of all provider medication orders in maintaining a high level of patient care and safetyParticipates in the training of new employees and the development of training materialsEnsures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirementsPrecepts pharmacy students and/or pharmacy residents as assigned in operational oversight of area of practiceLeads the implementation of various system initiatives at both local and system levelsServes as a system expert and site lead in specialized pharmacy operations in area of practice (e.g., compounding, drug diversion, quality, and or safety)Resource for the staff on operational issues related to pharmacy practiceAdditional duties may be assigned as neededMay be responsible for pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) duties when applicableEducationBachelor's Level Degree in Pharmacy (Required)Doctorate Level Degree in Pharmacy (Preferred)Certification/LicensureVirginia Pharmacist License (Required)Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)ExperienceInpatient Hospital Pharmacist Experience (Preferred)Residency Trained PGY1/PGY2 (Preferred) RPh, Operational Pharmacist, #Indeed, Pharmacy, Inpatient Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacist, Specialty Medication, LinkedIn, Monster, Talroo-Allied Health, MDR, rounds, Pharmacist, omnicell, Epic, sterile compounding, IV meds, #LI-SM1, MTM, PGY1, PGY2, operations, IT
