Elderwood at Lockport is seeking a dynamic Director of Rehabilitation Services to oversee and guide our therapy team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.Position OverviewThe Director of Rehabilitation Services plays a vital leadership role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by supervising rehabilitation department staff in the provision, documentation, and billing of therapy services in compliance with Federal and State Laws, Regulations, and Practice Acts.This leader will drive clinical excellence, fiscal accountability, and exceptional customer service outcomes while maintaining a strong clinical presence.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise rehab department staff in therapy service delivery, documentation, and billing complianceEnsure services align with all Federal and State regulations and professional Practice ActsAssist in the hiring, orientation, mentoring, and training of staff therapists, therapy assistants, and rehabilitation aidesParticipate in required meetings, in-services, programs, and general orientation activitiesMaintain a clinical caseload with a minimum of 35% productivityMonitor clinical, fiscal, and customer service outcomes and implement action plans to address underperformancePromote a collaborative, positive, and resident-focused therapy environmentQualificationsCurrent, valid Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Physical Therapy (PT) license requiredLeadership or supervisory experience preferredStrong knowledge of regulatory compliance, documentation standards, and reimbursement practicesExcellent communication, organizational, and team-building skillsCommitment to high-quality resident care and continuous improvemenWhy Join Us?Leadership opportunity with meaningful impactCollaborative interdisciplinary teamCompetitive compensation and benefitsOpportunity to shape clinical and operational excellenceSupportive organizational culture focused on resident outcomesIf you’re ready to lead with purpose and drive rehabilitation excellence, we’d love to hear from you.Apply today and make a difference at Elderwood of Lockport.Director of Rehabilitation Services:Screen and provide (as necessary and as ordered by a physician) an in-depth evaluation of each individual's rehabilitation potential (unless contradicted); makes written recommendations for inter-disciplinary care planning and treatment.Inform individual or qualified representative about care and treatment plan and possible outcomes of treatment, or lack of treatment if resident refuses participation in a therapy program.Develop a treatment plan and administer treatments in accordance with the physician's orders and the rehabilitation goals; maintain required contact with physician.Oversee written evaluations, progress notes, care plans and discharge summaries of individuals receiving physical therapy according to state, federal and facility policies. Review each individual's status at least quarterly to determine need for revising rehabilitation aspects of care plan.Collaborate with other members of the inter-disciplinary health care team to integrate rehabilitation goals into the comprehensive care plan.Director of Rehabilitation Services:Licensed Occupational Therapist/Physical Therapist/Speech Language Pathologist professionally educated in an accredited curriculum with a baccalaureate degree required. State specific license to practice required. Management experience preferred. Experience in the geriatric field of Occupational/Physical Therapy or Speech Language Pathology preferable.Current, valid CPR/BLS certification.Experience with computer hardware and software including Microsoft Office preferred. Possession of ability to teach, inspire and motivate others; leadership qualities; ability to organize workload, delegate assignments and promote teamwork required.
